A huge thank you to everyone that donated,
helped with the sale and came out and shopped!
Multiple Myeloma is an incurable blood cancer. Although progress has been made in treating Multiple Myeloma, the five-year relative survival rate remains one of the lowest of all cancers.
An outstanding 90% of total budget goes directly towards research and related programming. The MMRF is consistently recognized in the top 1% of all charities reviewed by evaluators like Charity Navigator.
When I was 14 years old I watched Julie Moss crawl the last 30 yards of the Hawaii IRONMAN and it blew me away. I've wanted to do that race ever since.
Three weeks after signing up to raise money for MMRF in my first ever IRONMAN later this year, I got some shocking news..... the top fundraiser would win a spot in the 2014 Hawaii IRONMAN! From that moment I've been able to think about little else. I knew this was my moment, I have to throw everything I have at this to make my dream come true.
And the best part is, IF I fall short, I'll know I did everything I could to raise a ton of money for a really great cause. That's a win/win if there ever was one.
If you feel moved to help this 44 year old mother of two reach a long time dream AND support a great cause, just hit that red "donate" button. It all adds up!
Thank you so much!
We DID it!!!!!!
together we raised
The Multiple Myeloma
(and had a heck of a good time!)
Winner of the Dance-OFF!
I'll be racing in honor of 2 very special people on November 2nd.
The first is my friend Helen who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma this year and is fighting her heart out right now! Her motto is:
"the CURE is the goal"
The second is my friend's Dad Michaux "Shack" Raine who passed away in 2010 after a long hard fought battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was the life of the party, a great poker player and a loyal family man and on Nov. 2nd he's gonna go 140.6 miles with me!
The Florida IRONMAN was amazing but we're not stopping there!
Thanks to all of you, I will be fulfilling a life long dream on October 11th 2014 when I toe the line in Kona for the
Hawaii IRONMAN World Championships!!
I can't thank you enough for your support! It means the world to me, and to all those people who are fighting bravely against this disease!
